Soulcollage®as a spiritual practice
SoulCollage® is a creative reflective process that people of many faiths—or no faith—adapt to their own worldview. For example, Christians can use it as a tool for discernment, prayer, and spiritual formation. In the SoulCollage® method, you use found images (pre-cut from magazines) that intuitively speak to you to create personal 5x8" cards that invite reflection on different aspects of your life—your relationships, gifts, struggles, spirtual journey, etc. Rather than analyzing or "reading into" the images, the process encourages quiet listening, curiosity, and honest self-reflection. I'm attaching a "getting started" guide I created so you can become more familiar with the process.
$5 drop-in cash or venmo KatyOberleCreative!

MEN'S STUDY BREAKFAST
We meet monthly on the first Saturday, starting Oct. 3, in the church lounge, for a pot-luck breakfast. Coffee and scrambled eggs are provided, but everyone is asked to bring something else to share. We view a short podcast by Biblical Scholars N. T. Wright and Mike Bird and then discuss it. Topics include, for example, whether one is denying one's faith if one's hobbies or vocation is more enjoyable than studying the Bible; whether it's still reasonable to expect Jesus to return; and how can we achieve the humility and gentleness advocated by Jesus and Paul. Wright and Bird are excellent Biblical scholars and they are willing to discuss the nitty gritty.
